Food stores: chains keep their stores open on December 24 until 12 noon, but there may be differences. They’re all closed on the 25th and 26th.

Penny stores will be open until 12 noon nationwide on December 24, with extended opening hours on December 19, 20, 21 and 23, closing at 9 p.m. Their stores will have the usual Sunday opening hours on December 22, as well as between December 27 and 30, while they will be open until December 31 at 2 p.m.

Spar and Interspar will be open until 12:00 on December 24, but there may be differences for some stores operating in a mall. From December 20 to 23, Interspar hypermarkets will be open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., but there may be exceptions for stores in shopping malls.

Tesco stores until 12 noon on December 24th. On the other days of the festive period, customers are expected during the usual opening hours. On December 31, Tesco stores will close uniformly at 6 p.m.

Aldi said its stores will be open by 12 noon on December 24, taking into account not only the needs of customers but also the interests of the company’s employees. On December 31, their stores will be open until 4 p.m.

Lidl won’t open this December 24 either, the company’s goal is for all its employees „to be able to prepare and spend the holiday among their loved ones ”. However, on December 23, customers are expected to have extended opening hours nationwide. Between the two holidays, Lidl’s stores operate at the usual opening hours, opening until 4 p.m. on December 31st.
